What is genetics?...

Genetics is the science of heredity and variation in living organism, as well as medical practice of diagnosing, treating and counseling patients with genetic disorders.


Who is Gregor Johann Mendel?...


Gregor Johann Mendel (July 20,1822-Jan. 6,1884) was an augstinian priest and scientist, and is often called "father of genetics" for his study of the inheritance of traits in pea plants. Mendel showed that the inheritance of traits follows particular laws, which were named after him.


What is genetic disorders?...




Genetic Disorders is a condition caused by abnormalities in genes or chromosomes.Example of genetic disorder is down syndrome.Down Syndrome is a condition in which extra genetic material causes delays in the way a child develops and often leads to mental retardation.


What is chromosomes?...


Chromosomes are organized structure of DNA and proteins that are found in cells.
