Genetics from what I've learn is the study of heredity and

variations.

Gregor Johann Mendel is the father of classical genetics.

He was an Augustinian Monk.

The green peas was his ideal specimen.

He had created a pureline of each trait.

Created a hybrid by cross pollination.

Mutation is the change on the gene or genetic sequence of an

organism. It is caused by the mutagens(radiation, chemicals, toxins,

drugs, sunlight). It is also inheritable. The gene can delete,

duplicate, translocate, and inverse its fragment. It can

cause abnormalities. It can also be change in number, it is whether

monosomy(the zygote recieves only one chromosome, instead of two)

or trisomy( the zygotes recieve three, instead of two).
